This abstract print is affectionately named 'Anatomy of a Palm Tree', of course with little accuracy at first, but it does depict many different parts of the tree. Made using the monotype technique, these collaged prints have been made using elements of palm trees found in and around Valencia, Spain. The prints showcase fronds or leaves from the top of the tree, pieces of bark and the gauze-like trunk material. Each making unique marks and patterns on the surface of earth-toned papers.

Made during Amber's residency at The Valencia Print Workshop in February 2024 and exhibited at Making Home. This print was made as part of a project which highlighted the familiarity and comfort found when recognising the iconic palm tree, when travelling across different continents.

The print will arrive unframed, it is a signed edition of 1, handprinted on to thick Fabriano paper with raw edges.

Each piece in this series is handmade by the artist, with an abstract and fluid style. Created using the monotype technique, these prints are a series of 1/1 editions, making them truly one-of-a-kind works of art.
